Welcome to the official
website for the Australian Miniature Pony Society Inc. NSW Branch.
The Australian Miniature Pony Society Inc. was established in 1974
at Liverpool, NSW and today the Australian Miniature Pony is
recognised Australia wide.
Australian Miniature
Ponies should appear well proportioned standing at a maximum height
of 87cms and ideally resemble a pony in miniature. The Australian
Miniature Pony breed was resultant from the crossing of small
Shetland Ponies, Fallabella, Miniature Horses and small ponies.
They are versatile equines being well suited for harness and can be
ridden by small children.
The NSW Branch Committee holds two shows every year, the NSW
Championship Feature Show and the NSW Northern Districts
Championship Show. Harness and information days are also
conducted. In 2004, the NSW Southern Promotional Group was
established and the Southern NSW Championship Show is held in
November. The NSW Western Promotional Group commenced in 2010 with
the 1st NSW Western Districts Championship Show.
The
NSW Triple Crown Award
is conducted by
the NSW Branch Committee each season to encourage members to support
Australian Miniature Pony Society Inc. NSW Branch held activities.
To qualify for the NSW Triple Crown Award, ponies are required to
